Happy Halloween!!! We had a lovely Halloween filled with friends, fun and laughter. Trick or Treating around here is kind of bizarre in that people all travel to certain streets around town and rarely just walk out there front door and walk their block. We headed to West Asheville's Vermont St. and watched a ton of people in costume trick or treat. Akilah and her friends, Sage and Lupine, participated and had a great time. Then when we returned home, they each left their candy out for the Pumpkin Fairy. During the night while they were sleeping, the Pumpkin Fairy came and took the candy and left a special surprise behind in it's place. Akilah's special surprise was a paint, marker and pencil crayon set that had been sent to T a few years ago by his grandparents. Fantastic fun and our budding artist has already eagerly jumped right in.
