No pictures, just words... mainly for Akilah to look back on someday.
This past weekend was a wild yet special one!
My dad, being slightly retired with a somewhat flexible schedule, was graciously able to fly down to Asheville to stay with Akilah and the doggies while we had to work. (Tony was away for a week, playing on the Rock Legends Cruise to the Bahamas. I was backpacking in the woods with a group of students.)
Akilah and her Poppop had a very special weekend. They had tea parties, played many many games, "school", "vacuuming and vacuum repair", "mama and kid", trains, went for walks around the neighborhood, walked to the local bakery twice, read a gazillion stories, and on and on.
Thanks again Dad, we are ever so grateful!
