Our newest addition...

Here she is in the car on her way home!

Meet our newest family member! She was born on June 18 and is now 12 weeks old. We have a running poll to help us name her, but ultimately Akilah will have the final say. Kaia calls her (with a very loud and excited voice) "Puppy", and LOVES to snuggle and generally chase her around.

Edited 9/17 - While the name Maisy won the in the poll, Clover came in with a close second. We let Akilah have the final say and she settled on - Clover.

It's a long story, but as you mostly know, Annabelle is not doing well (Degenerative Myelopathy). We ultimately decided we wanted Annabelle to overlap with our newest addition for a (albeit potentially brief) period of time. This past year is the first year of Annabelle's almost 8 year life that she has not lived with another dog. Needless to say she appeared excited and playful when Clover came home with us.

Clover is an English Mastiff but her parents are not as bulky/stocky as those typically seen in photographs, so we shall see! (And, yes, we are VERY aware that she will be huge... Interestingly enough all kinds of people like to tell us as if we didn't know...)

The Meeting.

T took some time to run them around the yard before bringing her in the house. She was really scared during the long (an hour) car ride home and Kaia was REALLY excited and loud. The doggies peacefully frolicked around the yard without loud children.

This (enormous) doggie bed used to belong to Redwood. Look how big Clover is on it already!
