Heading into 4

Tonight Akilah and I were having a discussion about our evening rhythm and it dawned on me that she, almost at the age of 4, is just now finally, totally and completely weaned.

For as long as I can recall, the general gist of our evenings has been tubby time, jammies, brush teeth, 2 stories, milk (which in our world of course means nursing), then pillow time. Tonight she informed me that it was tubby time, jammies, teeth, 2 stories, no milk, then pillow time. So sweet. We are both ready.

Child-led weaning was something I felt strongly about, and I am ever so grateful it worked out so well for us.
