9 Months

Kaia is almost 9 months old! Yesterday she had a well munchkin check up. We had her lead levels tested because our house was built in the 20's. Thankfully they came back undetectable!!! (When Akilah was a babe her levels were high and we had to do a bunch of work to our house to remedy the lead situation.)

Kaia now weighs 25.5 pounds and is 30 inches long. Her head is 18 inches in circumference. What a rapidly growing little peanut!

She loves to wave, attempt to say "hi", say "dada", babble, pull up to standing, and be on the move all the time.

She has really started getting into the whole eating thing. She is a fan of sweet potato and butternut squash. But in the spirit of baby led/self feeding, she pretty much is learning to chew and sometimes swallow anything we give her. (With the exception of avocado. She is not a fan.)
