The remainder of the evening entails the parents sitting through presentations about donating money to the school while the children run along to their classrooms to prepare for our visit. Instead of sitting through the presentation Tony and I wrangled Kaia outside the gym in the cold rain. Thankfully she was rather entertained by walking back and forth along the parking curbs.
Visiting the classroom was adorable. Their expedition (I can't recall the name of it) of late has them exploring maps and may keys so each family had a map of the classroom with various points to explore. Akilah LOVES maps (especially of the pirate treasure variety) so thought a map of her classroom was just as delightful. While it is fun to visit the class and see everything they have been working on thus far, it is total chaos with all the other children and families smooshed into the space at the same time. Total. Chaos.
