Mama's Day

The Friday before Mother's Day Akilah came home from school excited to present me with a gift. (She absolutely could not wait until Sunday!)

 I just realized I never took an "after" photo!! It is a coil pot that she made, glazed, and fired at school. In the envelope are sunflower seeds that I can plant in it! SO adorable; I will treasure it always.

We celebrated all day on Sunday by walking to BOTH breakfast and dinner in our neighborhood (Biscuit Head and West Asheville's Nine Mile). Yumster! My family also ordered me this hammock from a local company. Ahhhhhhh!
