Nana and Poppop's Holiday Visit

Akilah with her Nana and Poppop. She LOVES spending time with them. So sweet!

Akilah teaching Nana how to make a snowflake

Akilah opening a birthday ring. Just in time for birthday season around our house!

Sleepy adorable Redwood. (He is maybe about 10 years old now so sleep is one of his favorite pastimes. 10 is up there for a doggie that weighs 110+ pounds.)

Scooter time!

Annabelle with what I like to call her "bat ears". Cracks me up every single time. (Annabelle is now 6 years old.)

Dad and Tony fixing the heat register. Hee heee. Hilarious. They started working on this project while Akilah, Mom and I were knitting. They called it their man task.

Helping Nana roll the yarn into a ball.

My parents have been here visiting for the past two days. They came to celebrate a belated Christmas with us, and this time I didn't throw a wrench in the plans by needing to go to the hospital (the last time they were here was right after Thanksgiving when I was having the first round of kidney stones). It was a lovely (but too short) visit! And they came bearing all kinds of gifts from all our family members. So very sweet and we are so very grateful!

Mom also brought us a ham and our favorite grain free blueberry muffins. Yum! And she helped me (she really did all the work) make our standard chicken and greens soup and a butternut squash soup.  It's so wonderful having soup stocked in the freezer once again!
